Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edric Baratheon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinrich Meinhoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meinhoff closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Meinhoff turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
We've been informed that Meinhoff has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Heinrich Meinhoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meinhoff bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Baratheon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meinhoff circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Baratheon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Meinhoff - the referee stops the clock and Baratheon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Meinhoff. Baratheon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Baratheon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Meinhoff stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Meinhoff cracks Baratheon with a nice body shot.

Meinhoff creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Baratheon with a big uppercut! Baratheon tries to clinch up but Meinhoff pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Baratheon to the mat! Baratheon covers up and Meinhoff unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
