Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reyes Morales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Gatt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatt throws a head kick but Morales moves out of range.
Morales is looking to counter with a body kick.

Morales closes the distance and pushes Gatt back into the cage.
Gatt goes for a takedown in the clinch but Morales prevents it.

Morales ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Morales no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gatt sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Gatt trying to control but Morales is working from the bottom.
Morales preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Morales wants to hit a switch here but Gatt passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Morales there!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morales is in all sorts of trouble here.
Morales knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gatt on the ground.
Morales takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Gatt looking to control and managing it successfully.

Gatt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Morales hang on?
Morales really is a fat lump.

Gatt has control of Morales's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Morales regains control of the situation pretty easily.
My spies in NYC Alpha (Conditioning and Sparring Gym) inform me that Gatt has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Gatt jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Morales manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morales tries to escape back to his feet but Gatt has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Morales's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Morales is tapping! Gatt saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
