The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Pavel Vasilyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vasilyev throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Silva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vasilyev is out of range.
Vasilyev misses with an uppercut. Silva saw that one coming.
Vasilyev checks the leg kick.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Silva tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Vasilyev is able to avoid easily.
Vasilyev wants to clinch up but Silva keeps it at a distance.
Vasilyev tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A head kick misses from Vasilyev.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Vasilyev landing knees to the head.

It looks like Tamara Silva has been cut.
Vasilyev using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Vasilyev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Silva looks gassed!
Vasilyev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vasilyev throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Vasilyev moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vasilyev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Vasilyev closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.
Vasilyev lands a knee to the head.

That has opened up Tamara Silva's cut even more.

Vasilyev's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vasilyev throws an uppercut from hell that sends Silva clean off his feet! He's out cold! Vasilyev stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
