Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Kirkland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hill has chosen King of the Hill theme as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Kirkland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirkland keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Hill closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kirkland to the mat! Kirkland manages to get full guard.
Kirkland wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hill manages to pass to side control.

Kirkland is doing well to control the position and prevent Hill from advancing to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kirkland is trying to stand back up but Hill is controlling him

Hill tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Kirkland is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hill is looking to stand up but Kirkland won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hill bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kirkland's head.
Kirkland tries to clinch there but Hill circles away.

Hill scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A punch combination from Hill misses.
Kirkland wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Kirkland needs to keep his hands up - Hill had a free shot at his head there.
Hill throws a right and a left that Kirkland avoids nicely.
Kirkland is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hill.

and Kirkland counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hill is trying to break the clinch but Kirkland has him pressed against the cage.

Hill is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kirkland can't fight it off and eventually Hill manages to take the fight to the floor. Kirkland looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kirkland looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kirkland gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hill.
Hill connects with a crisp jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hill. Kirkland does a little dance to reset his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kirkland counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kirkland throws a punch but it's blocked by Hill.
Hill wants to break free but Kirkland has control.

Hill lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kirkland escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hill!
Jordan Kirkland is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hill wants to get back to his feet.
Hill content to control rather than advance.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kirkland makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kirkland.

Hill slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hill stops Kirkland from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hank Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kirkland fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hill misses with a wild body shot.
Kirkland throws a half hearted mid kick.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hill throws a good cross that connects.
Hill throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kirkland counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Hill feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hank Hill has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kirkland wants to sweep here but Hill controlling him for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hank Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hill is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Hill changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hill is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Hill swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kirkland.
Hill lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kirkland backs up against the cage.

Kirkland takes one to the chin there.
Kirkland throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hill feints a counter leg kick.
Hill cracks Kirkland with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hank Hill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kirkland takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kirkland on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kirkland takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


Kirkland is rocked!
Hill plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Kirkland to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Kirkland just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
