Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacoby Tucker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacoby Tucker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kerry Pierce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacoby Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tucker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Tucker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Tucker thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pierce's head.

Tucker postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pierce to stand up.
Pierce scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tucker misses with a combination
letting Pierce counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pierce drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tucker can't do much from the bottom here.
Tucker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tucker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pierce swings around for an armbar but Tucker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pierce's guard.
Tucker content to stall in guard here.
Pierce looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Tucker trying to control the position from guard on top but Pierce is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tucker looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pierce is trying to control the position but Tucker postures up.
Tucker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pierce swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tucker wants to stand but Pierce has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Pierce working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tucker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tucker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tucker throws a big right hand that misses.

Tucker with a flurry of punches that miss.
Tucker trying to control but Pierce is working from the bottom.
Tucker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Pierce closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tucker did well to prevent Pierce getting side control.
Tucker makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tucker.
Tucker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pierce is controlling him.

Pierce gets to his feet - Tucker follows without any prompting.
Pierce is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Tucker shoots in and gets a takedown into Pierce's guard.
Tucker is standing up over Pierce. Pierce looks to escape but Tucker dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tucker trying to control the position but Pierce is working away.
Tucker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pierce's legs.
The ground and pound from Tucker seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tucker wants to stand but Pierce has his arm trapped.
Tucker is looking to take a break and control but Pierce is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacoby Tucker dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Tucker moves in looking to clinch but Pierce pushes him off.
It appears Pierce was looking to counter with a kick there.
Tucker tries to clinch
and Pierce counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Pierce shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tucker is trying to defend but Pierce finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tucker pushes Pierce off looking to stand but Pierce dives back in and keeps control.
Pierce seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tucker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tucker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pierce wants to get back to his feet.

Pierce is trying to work for a kimura but Tucker is defending well.

Tucker trying to hold on to Pierce's head to control him but Pierce postures up.
Pierce performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Tucker looking for submissions off his back.
Tucker is pressing down on Pierce's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Pierce controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Tucker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Tucker has his feet on Pierce's thighs here. He's pushed Pierce off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pierce screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
