Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renji Abarai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miller Gozu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Abarai might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Before I Forget. Miller Gozu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gozu circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gozu drives through with a takedown into Abarai's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Gozu wants to get up but he can't break Abarai's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Abarai definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Abarai not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gozu would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gozu wants to stand and escape but instead Abarai has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gozu pushes Abarai off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Gozu rushes Abarai and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Abarai gets control of Gozu's arms and successfully pulls guard. Abarai will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Gozu has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Elite Strikers. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Abarai looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Gozu is defending well. Abarai quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Gozu has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Abarai celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
