Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aggi Dilimanto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aggi Dilimanto!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Eliza Hachem and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with a head kick.
Dilimanto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dilimanto looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Silver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Silver moves into the clinch successfully.

Dilimanto throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Silvers head.

Dilimanto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silver has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dilimanto has managed to get both his arms back between Silver's legs - danger averted.

Silver jumps guard and drags Dilimanto to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Silver lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Silver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silver.
Silver tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dilimanto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dilimanto is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Silver with a body shot.
Silver shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dilimanto as he jumps to the side.

Dilimanto has closed the distance and engaged Silver in a clinch.

Dilimanto has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Silver clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silver can't escape the position.
Silver knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dilimanto on the ground.

Dilimanto is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Silver defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Dilimanto swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silver is now in Dilimanto's guard. A big mistake from Dilimanto there, giving up the dominant position!

Silver dives in and grabs Dilimanto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dilimanto pushes down on Silver's head and hops out.
Dilimanto appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Dilimanto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dilimanto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dilimanto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silver will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Dilimanto drops back looking for a leg! Silver is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silver manages to kick Dilimanto off! Dilimanto jumps back into Silver's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Joe Silver is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dilimanto or perhaps it was just good defense by Silver, which made it look bad.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dilimanto makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Joe Silver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dilimanto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silver swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dilimanto drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silver dives on top into guard.

Aggi Dilimanto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silver, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
