Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmanuel Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Emmanuel Jefferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arnold Strong!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong misses with an uppercut

and Jefferson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Strong's guard.

Strong wriggles free and stands up.
Nice takedown defense from Strong. No joy for Jefferson on that attempt.

Strong shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Jefferson has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Strong is on him like a limpet, forcing Jefferson back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Strong wants the takedown. Jefferson is fighting it off but Strong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jefferson's guard against the cage.
Jefferson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Strong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Jefferson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Strong to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Strong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jefferson, up you get!
Jefferson shoots for a takedown but Strong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Strong feints and as Jefferson raises his hands in defense, Strong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Strong wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.
Strong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jefferson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Strong is working Jefferson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jefferson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Strong is one step ahead there.
Strong cracks Jefferson with a solid left hand.
Strong is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Strong lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Strong passes Jefferson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jefferson is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jefferson is breathing heavily.

Strong is working for a submission of some sort.

Jefferson is defending against the submission attempts here by Strong.

Strong lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Strong escapes and gets back to his feet.

Strong throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jefferson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Strong is in Jefferson's guard.
Strong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jefferson's head.

Strong stands up and waves to Jefferson to follow him.
A swing and a miss from Strong.

Jefferson gets caught flat footed, as Strong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Strong advances position into side control!
Jefferson is looking to reverse the position.
Strong trying to control the position but Jefferson is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnold Strong dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Strong gets a takedown into half guard.

Strong decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Jefferson tries for a takedown but Strong circles away easily

and Strong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strong lands a takedown into guard.
Strong wants to control from the top but Jefferson keeps moving.

Strong gets to his feet. Jefferson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Strong changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jefferson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jefferson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Jefferson is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Strong controlling the position from side mount.
Oh Jefferson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Strong scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Jefferson is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Strong can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
