The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anjos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Jacobs wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Anjos has him pressed against the cage.
Anjos is trying to trip Jacobs. He has hold of a leg but Jacobs is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Anjos persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Jacobs wriggles free and stands up.
Anjos clinches with his opponent.
Anjos is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jacobs is defending well.
Anjos has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jacobs is trying to keep an underhook but Anjos manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Jacobs scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Anjos manages to mount him!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Anjos looking to control but Jacobs is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Anjos looking to isolate an arm here. Jacobs doesn't see it coming and as Anjos extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Anjos!
