The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Semenyuk.
Semenyuk looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Makharov connects with a body shot.
Makharov drops his shoulder and cracks Semenyuk with a huge uppercut! Semenyuk goes down! Can Makharov finish him?

It looks like Paul Semenyuk has been cut.
Makharov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Makharov is working Semenyuk over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Makharov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Semenyuk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Makharov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Makharov throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Semenyuk stumbling backwards into the cage! Semenyuk bounces back off the cage towards Makharov, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Makharov lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Makharov celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
