Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vito Chaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and August Jeaux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). August Jeaux has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chaney gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jeaux to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Chaney scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jeaux shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chaney napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Chaney is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jeaux presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Vito Chaney will probably get the nod.

It looked like Chaney wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
