Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nigel Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronin Samurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronin Samurai!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black drives through with a takedown into guard.
Black stopping the sweep attempt from Samurai.
Black wants to control from the top but Samurai keeps moving.

Samurai has his foot on Black's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Black works his way back into a safe position though.
Samurai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Black is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Samurai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Black gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Black advances to half guard.
Samurai moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Black won't allow Samurai to sweep him here.
Samurai has a closed guard, preventing Black from standing up.

Samurai throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Samurai can't keep his opponent in guard - Black advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Black is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Black looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Samurai tries to get to full guard but Black has control of the leg.

Samurai looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Samurai wants to get back to full guard.
Samurai looks gassed!
Black is keen to just control but Samurai is a slippery customer.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Samurai gets back to full guard.

Samurai looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Samurai has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Black has passed into side control.
Samurai sneaks back into half guard.
Black not doing much here.
Black scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Samurai is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Black pulls his head out easily.
Black tries to pass to full mount but Samurai defends it.
Black perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Samurai tries to roll over but Black keeps him under control.
Black trying to mount his opponent but Samurai defends it.

Black is working for a kimura but Samurai is defending it quite comfortably.

Samurai actively working from the bottom here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Black misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Samurai doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Black counters with a shoot takedown. Samurai fights it but they end up in guard.
Samurai wants to sweep but no luck.

Black avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Samurai has momentary wrist control but Black slips an elbow through the middle.
Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Samurai swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Samurai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Black doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Black manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Samurai wants to sweep here but Black controlling him for the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Samurai is on top in guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Black is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Samurai rolls with it to try and escape but Black cranks on the arm and Samurai is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
