The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Mentzer.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Mentzer is out of range.

Mentzer throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mentzer checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mentzer tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Jones connects with a leg kick. Mentzer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Mentzer uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Mentzer moves out of range easily.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mentzer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mentzer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
A telegraphed right hand from Mentzer misses the target.
Mentzer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.
Mentzer moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jones successfully pulls guard.
Mentzer is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him.
Jones looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mentzer is defending well. Jones quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mentzer has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jones celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
