The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Medeiros is holding on to half guard well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leon is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Medeiros controlling the position well.

Leon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Medeiros's head.
Medeiros manages to get to full guard.
Leon postures up in Medeiros's guard and throws a big left but Medeiros blocks it.

Medeiros is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Medeiros manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leon manages to get himself to full guard.

Medeiros is pushing down on Leon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Leon is fighting to maintain full guard but Medeiros has managed to sneak the leg through.

Medeiros is pressing down on Leon's thigh, looking to free his foot. Leon is holding on for now.

Medeiros seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Leon is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
