Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daigo Goto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Octavio Paixao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paixao has chosen "Death by Blonde" by Devotchka as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Daigo Goto could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Octavio Paixao's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goto takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Goto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Paixao can pounce on him.
Goto shoots for a takedown but Paixao saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Paixao walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Goto checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Paixao waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Goto.
Paixao throws a looping overhand right but Goto ducks down to avoid it.
Paixao tries to score with a low kick but Goto moves his leg out of the way.
No joy there for Paixao, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Goto takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Paixao tries to land a front kick but Goto steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Goto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Paixao.
Goto tries to clinch up but Paixao circles away and keeps his distance.

and Paixao counters with a slapping leg kick.
Paixao throws a nice looking combination but Goto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Paixao explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Goto moves away from the strike by Paixao.
Goto ducks under a wild hook from Paixao.
Paixao throws a solid leg kick but Goto takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Paixao.
Paixao wants to slow Goto down by chopping away at his legs.

Paixao looks to score with a jab to the body but Goto is just out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Paixao misses the target.
Octavio Paixao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Goto slips under a jab.
Paixao cracks Goto with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Daigo Goto has been cut.
Paixao cracks Goto with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Paixao throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Goto lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Paixao throws the left hand but Goto avoids the punch easily.

Goto blocks the body kick.
Goto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Paixao misses with a looping left.
Paixao with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goto ducks under a wild hook from Paixao.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Paixao, right into the meat.
Goto takes one on the button.
Paixao misses with a body shot.
Octavio Paixao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goto with a poor takedown
and Paixao counters with a nice low kick that buckles Goto's knee momentarily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daigo Goto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Goto is breathing heavily.

Goto on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Paixao. Paixao obviously looking to wear him down.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Paixao.
Goto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Paixao can pounce on him.
Goto is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Paixao feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Goto's calf.
Paixao scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Paixao cracks Goto with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Paixao throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Goto. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Paixao closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Paixao feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Goto sprawling to the canvas! Goto rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Paixao finish him?!

Goto is rocked!
Paixao lets loose with a powerful body kick. Goto will feel that in the morning.
Oh Goto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
