Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilbert Albert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arun Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilbert Albert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Arun Stuart!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albert avoids the head kick by Stuart.

Albert has taken the fight to the clinch.

Stuart is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Albert can't fight it off and eventually Stuart manages to take the fight to the floor. Albert looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Stuart controls from within his opponent's guard.
Stuart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Albert is working an open guard so Stuart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Stuart shoots in and bounces Albert off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Albert is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Stuart dives into side control.

Stuart is looking to take a break and control but Albert is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Stuart decides to stand back up. Stuart steps back and let's Albert get back to his feet.
Arun Stuart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Albert gets a clinch.

Stuart has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Albert is trying to keep an underhook but Stuart manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Albert has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Stuart is on him like a limpet, forcing Albert back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stuart has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Albert uses from the top position.
Stuart utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stuart wants to improve his position but instead Albert has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stuart tries to roll over but Albert keeps him under control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Albert is nestled in close to Stuart, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Stuart manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Albert keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
The referee calls for Albert to work.

Stuart tries to free his leg and advance position but Albert is retaining full guard.

Albert is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stuart fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Albert is looking to clinch but Stuart is avoiding it.

Stuart closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Albert's guard.
Stuart wants to pass the guard but Albert is keeping the position.

Stuart has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stuart stands and steps away. Albert gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Stuart shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Albert's guard.

Stuart stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Stuart closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stuart thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Stuart wants to take a breather but Albert is having none of it.

Stuart closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Albert is letting Stuart control him for a moment.

Stuart thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Stuart wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Albert, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stuart working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stuart just content to control the position.
Stuart in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arun Stuart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Stuart avoids a kick to the body.

Stuart drives through and clinches with Albert against the cage.

Stuart breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Stuart effectively controlling the action here.

Stuart has picked Albert up - he's going for a ride! Stuart dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Albert kicks off Stuart and gets to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stuart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Albert.
Stuart swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stuart tries a body shot but Albert blocks it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Albert tries to pull guard but Stuart won't allow it.
Albert has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stuart is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Stuart breaks from the clinch.

Stuart fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Albert, pushing him back against the cage.

Stuart lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Stuart lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stuart in particular looking to stall.

Stuart not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Albert wants to get back to full guard.
Stuart trying to control the action but Albert is working from the bottom.
Stuart stalling.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stuart has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Stuart tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Stuart lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Albert is squirming around, avoiding Stuart's attempts to control the action.
Stuart lands a big shot there that rocks Albert but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Wilbert Albert has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Arun Stuart is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Arun Stuart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stuart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
