Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Deal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin Steen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deal lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Steen closes the distance but Deal moves to the side
and Deal counters with a straight right hand.

Steen instigates a clinch.

Deal breaks from the clinch.
Steen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Deal went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Deal takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Steen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Deal paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Deal has closed the distance and engaged Steen in a clinch.
Steen with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Deal managing to block the knees to the body from Steen.
Steen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Steen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Deal has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Deal can't break the clinch.
Deal tries to circle away but Steen has him pinned against the ropes.

Deal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Deal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


Steen is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steen closes the distance but Deal moves to the side
and Deal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Steen is still on wobbly legs! Can Deal finish him?
Deal throws a front kick that sends Steen stumbling back into the ropes.
Steen's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Deal connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Steen scrambles back to his feet.
That kick from Deal tenderised Steen's leg. Steen is trying to keep his angry face on.
Deal connects with a quick right hand that sends Steen tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
