Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Koji Yano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MC Hammerfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yano might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Fleur de Lis - Jucifer. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hammerfist's choice of entrance music: 2 legit 2 quit - MC Hammer. Koji Yano could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to MC Hammerfist's chin.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammerfist ducks right into an uppercut from Yano.
Hammerfist has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Yano throws a head kick but Hammerfist moves out of range.
Hammerfist digs a good body shot into Yano's ribs.
Yano throws a big shot that misses.
Donk. Hammerfist catches Yano right on the button with a cross.
Yano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hammerfist closes the distance and clinches up with Yano, looking for a takedown. Hammerfist pushes Yano against the cage but Yano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yano swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Yano ducks under a wild hook from Hammerfist.
Yano lands with a straight right. Hammerfist didn't see that one coming.

MC Hammerfist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Hammerfist does it's job there.
Hammerfist scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Hammerfist throws a leg kick but Yano sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Hammerfist fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Yano on the side of the head.
Yano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammerfist swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yano fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hammerfist sprawls well initially but Yano persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yano prevents Hammerfist from improving his position.
Yano is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Yano in particular looking to stall.

Yano is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hammerfist tries to get to full guard but Yano has control of the leg.

Hammerfist has his foot on Yano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yano works his way back into a safe position though.
Hammerfist is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Yano stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Hammerfist has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Yano manages to get his head free but now Hammerfist has transitioned to an armbar! Yano grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Hammerfist! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
