The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Alfonso Valdez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murdock takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Murdock connects with a body shot that sends Valdez's belly button to the back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Valdez connects with a quick right hand that sends Murdock tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
