Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Wuda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Gonzalez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Henry Wuda!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzalez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Gonzalez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gonzalez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wuda's head.
Wuda is trying is best to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wuda wants to get back to full guard.

Gonzalez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Wuda has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gonzalez is working away from the top position though.
Gonzalez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wuda is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gonzalez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gonzalez's back!
Gonzalez wants to escape the position.

Gonzalez showing good submission defense here.
Wuda slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Wuda somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
I really don't envy Gonzalez right now.
Gonzalez is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gonzalez is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Wuda wants to control but Gonzalez manages to buck him off and is now in Wuda's guard! Nice work there by Gonzalez!

Wuda has his foot on Gonzalez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gonzalez works his way back into a safe position though.

Wuda has Gonzalez pulled in close to control his posture.
Gonzalez is working Wuda over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gonzalez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wuda wants to get back to his feet but Gonzalez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wuda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wuda is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wuda trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gonzalez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gonzalez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Wuda gets a takedown into half guard.
Gonzalez tries to get to full guard but Wuda has control of the leg.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Wuda slows the pace down in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Henry Wuda will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Wuda closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gonzalez did well to prevent Wuda getting side control.

Wuda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gonzalez keeps working.
Wuda is controlling the pace.

Wuda is working for a kimura but Gonzalez is defending it quite comfortably.

Gonzalez is looking to get back to full guard here but Wuda has managed to pass to side control instead.
Gonzalez is looking to regain half guard here but Wuda keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gonzalez bucks up and tries to throw Wuda off but instead Wuda has got his back!
What can Gonzalez do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Gonzalez is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Wuda struggling to land strikes to the head as Gonzalez covers up.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Wuda. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Wuda is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Henry Wuda has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gonzalez tries to escape but Wuda has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Wuda is trying to stick to Gonzalez's back but Gonzalez is turning into Wuda. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wuda's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Gonzalez.
Wuda wants to sweep but no luck.
Gonzalez chips away with some ground and pound.
Gonzalez won't allow Wuda to sweep him here.
Gonzalez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wuda works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gonzalez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gonzalez throws an elbow that misses. Wuda uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gonzalez's guard. Nice move by Wuda!

Gonzalez will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wuda gets to his feet - Gonzalez follows without any prompting.

Wuda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gonzalez to the ground. Wuda is now in Gonzalez's guard.
Wuda is standing up over Gonzalez. Gonzalez looks to escape but Wuda dives into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gonzalez is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Wuda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Wuda moves into the clinch.

Wuda works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Gonzalez is wriggling around but Wuda manages to pass to half guard.

Gonzalez kicks off Wuda and gets to his feet.
Wuda avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gonzalez darts in and clinches Wuda up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Wuda has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gonzalez uses from the top position.

Wuda wants to improve his position but instead Gonzalez has moved into half guard.

Gonzalez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wuda doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gonzalez.
Wuda wants to get back to full guard but Gonzalez has mounted him!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wuda holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gonzalez tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Wuda is trying desperately to improve position.
Gonzalez lands a big elbow.
Gonzalez lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gonzalez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gonzalez working for a submission but Wuda is keeping him at bay.

Gonzalez prevents Wuda from getting the reversal.
Gonzalez lands a couple of good shots and Wuda has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Wuda is trying to break free.

Wuda defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Gonzalez's arms.
Gonzalez is hanging on to Wuda's back as he tries to escape.
Wuda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gonzalez controls the position.
Wuda wants to get back to his feet.

Gonzalez has the hooks in. Wuda is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Gonzalez is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Wuda tries to roll but Gonzalez sticks to his back.

James Gonzalez showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wuda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
