The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Valesces.
Smith fails with the takedown

and Valesces counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Valesces.
Smith looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Smith tries to pull guard but Valesces forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Valesces presses Smith against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Smith is breathing heavily.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Valesces creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Smith is trying to pull guard but Valesces turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Valesces unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Smith! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Valesces is unloading with more strikes now! Smith drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
