Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Emanuel Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kit Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kit Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emanuel Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kit Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Case gets a clinch.
Case prevents a takedown attempt there.
Johnson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Johnson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Case walks away with a smile on his face. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Case avoids them all with ease.
It looked like Case was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Johnson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Case clinches with his opponent.

Case ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Case no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Case pulls Johnson in close to his closed guard and prevents Johnson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Case avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Case has his hands on Johnson's head, controlling the position.
Case has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Case, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Case against the cage but Case circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Case is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Johnson.
Emanuel Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kit Johnson.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Case sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Case pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson landing some decent shots from guard.
Johnson stands and throws Case's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Case wants to control but Johnson postures up.
Case is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Johnson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Case tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johnson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Case is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Case dodges the ground and pound from Johnson.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Emanuel Case will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Johnson throws a low kick, looking for Case's leg but Case calmly moves out of range.
Case seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Emanuel Case is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Case leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Case looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Case tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnson.
Case is looking for a counter combo.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Case, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Case against the cage but Case circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Case really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnson postures up and lands a big shot to Case's brow.
