Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfonso Garrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch feints and as Garrett raises his hands in defense, Lynch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lynch is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Garrett keeping moving, preventing Lynch from controlling successfully.

Lynch is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Garrett has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Gary Lynch will probably get the nod.

Lynch is just content to waste time from the top position. Garrett takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Garrett has his foot on Lynch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lynch works his way back into a safe position though.

Gary Lynch overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Garrett is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lynch rolls with it to try and escape but Garrett cranks on the arm and Lynch is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
