The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovejoy throws a leg kick but Gustav checks it.
Lovejoy misses with a hook. Gustav ducked under it nicely.
Lovejoy throws a hook but Gustav avoids it easily.

Gustav has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gustav throws a looping overhand right but Lovejoy ducks down to avoid it.
Gustav looks to throw the jab but Lovejoy is out of range.
Gustav moves out of range as Lovejoy strikes.
Gustav moves out of range of the body kick from Lovejoy.
Gustav scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Gustav misses with an uppercut. Lovejoy saw that one coming.
Lovejoy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gustav moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Lovejoy throws a hook to the side of Gustav's head but Gustav sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lovejoy takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gustav. Lovejoy does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gustav sizes up Lovejoy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lovejoy throws the left hand but Gustav avoids the punch easily.
A slow jab from Gustav misses its intended target.
Lovejoy takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lovejoy takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Lovejoy is rocked!
Carl Gustav seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gustav lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Lovejoy out cold! Lovejoy is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
