Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jayant Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Gniewek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gniewek tries to clinch up but Singh circles away and keeps his distance.

Singh throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gniewek tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Singh is in Gniewek's guard.

Singh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gniewek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Singh has managed to get both his arms back between Gniewek's legs - danger averted.

Singh is pressing down on Gniewek's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gniewek is holding on for now.

Singh is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Gniewek still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Gniewek has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Gniewek is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Singh gets his way!

Singh is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gniewek defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Singh has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gniewek's body.

Singh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gniewek on the ground.

Singh has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gniewek to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Singh is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gniewek pulls down on the head and he's put Singh to sleep! This one is all over!
