The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garland tries to clinch up but Siskind circles away and keeps his distance.

Siskind tries to lock up and control but Garland gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Garland seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Siskind for as long as he can get away with.

Garland is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Siskind to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Siskind shrugs it off.

We've been hearing good reports from Garland's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Siskind is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Garland is looking to cinch up a triangle. Siskind throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Garland's body to avoid the submission. Garland has instead reached around Siskind's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Garland arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
