Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs rushes Anderson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Jacobs prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jacobs tries to pull guard but Anderson holds him up against the cage and eventually Jacobs drops back down to his feet.

Anderson jumps into guard, dragging Jacobs to the mat.

Jacobs stands up from Anderson's guard - Jacobs perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jacobs defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Anderson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson stands and steps away. Jacobs gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jacobs tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jacobs tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jacobs drops down looking for an ankle pick but Anderson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.
Jacobs is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.

Anderson jumps guard and drags Jacobs to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jacobs drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anderson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jacobs has Anderson in his guard.

Jacobs is looking to stand up but Anderson isn't so interested in that idea.

and Jacobs counters with a nice body shot.
Jacobs throws a lazy right hand but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Anderson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jacobs defends it well.

Jacobs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jacobs jumps guard but Anderson stands there with Jacobs around his waist. Jacobs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jacobs walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Anderson is breathing heavily.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Jacobs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Anderson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Jacobs avoids them all with ease.

Jacobs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anderson, pushing him back against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Anderson misses with some punches.

Jacobs manages to pull guard.
Jacobs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jacobs is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Anderson dives into side control.
Jacobs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jacobs manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Jacobs keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Jacobs will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Anderson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jacobs changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Anderson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jacobs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anderson.
Jacobs appears to be looking for a big counter.
Paul Jacobs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Anderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jacobs circles away.
Anderson gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Jacobs counters with a series of strikes. Anderson will be more careful next time no doubt.
