Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtly Ambrose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitch Mason!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mason with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ambrose to score with a decent uppercut.


It looks like Mitch Mason has been cut.
Ambrose has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Legion's PIT Fight Club in the buildup to the fight.
Ambrose fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Mason does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ambrose fires out a quick counter leg kick but Mason just manages to avoid it.
Mason throws a right and a left that Ambrose avoids nicely.

Ambrose looks to score with a jab to the body but Mason is just out of range.

Mason clinches up against the cage.
Ambrose presses Mason against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mason has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Mason throws a sloppy head kick and Ambrose moves out of range easily.

Ambrose lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Ambrose lands a left hand.
Mason throws an elbow but it misses.
Ambrose just leaning against Mason, taking a breather.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ambrose - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ambrose's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mason takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mason blocks a head kick by Ambrose.
It seemed like Mason was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Ambrose punishes Mason's body with a nice straight punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ambrose.

Mason forces Ambrose back against the cage and clinches.
Ambrose throws a head punch that misses.

Ambrose pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ambrose throws a low kick but Mason moves out of range easily.
Mason misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Ambrose tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mason lands with a left to the head.
A head punch on the inside from Mason fails to land.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Mason as Ambrose tries to tie him up.
Mason lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Ambrose digs a right hand underneath Mason's ribcage. Mason let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Ambrose breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mason takes the fight into the clinch.

Mason's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ambrose blocks an elbow strike from Mason.
Mason pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Ambrose lands a body shot.

The referee is keeping an eye on Ambrose - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ambrose lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


That has opened up Mitch Mason's cut even more.

Ambrose breaks the clinch.
Ambrose pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ambrose connects with an inside leg kick.

Ambrose plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Mason has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ambrose.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ambrose throws a leg kick which misses Mason's front leg but catches the back leg as Mason tries to avoid it.

Mason gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ambrose drops Mason with a naaaaasty hook - Mason is in real trouble here! Ambrose dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
