PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenato Ingles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bedug Dipo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dipo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hearts On Fire. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Ingles.
Ingles stuffs the takedown.
Jab by Ingles.
Horrible takedown attempt by Dipo or perhaps it was just good defense by Ingles, which made it look bad.
Ingles went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Dipo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kenato Ingles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bedug Dipo.
Ingles lands with a nice combination. Dipo backs away looking to recover.

Dipo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ingles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dipo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ingles haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dipo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bedug Dipo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Ingles.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ingles enables Dipo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ingles manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ingles wants to get back to his feet but Dipo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dipo throws a strike but Ingles rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Dipo controls Ingles momentarily but Ingles frees himself.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Ingles content to stall in guard here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dipo is on top in guard.

Dipo throws a big right hand that misses.
Ingles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bedug Dipo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ingles thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dipo is staying active underneath Ingles, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dipo wants to improve his position but Ingles is controlling well.

Ingles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Ingles is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dipo can do to turn this around?

and Ingles counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ingles feints a jab promting Dipo to slip. Ingles then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dipo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ingles throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Ingles darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ingles misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ingles is looking to wear down Dipo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Ingles throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ingles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dipo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dipo gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Dipo tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Ingles is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Dipo buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Dipo!! Dipo is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Ingles throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
