Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dennis Wise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Walker!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Wise looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wise lands with a nice body punch.
Dennis Wise seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker looks gassed!
A solid leg kick lands there for Wise.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wise misses with a series of wild punches.
Wise throws a left that rocks Walker and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Wise dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Walker regain composure!


Walker is rocked!


It looks like Nick Walker has been cut.
Wise wants to stand but Walker is controlling his arm.
Walker is still in real trouble! Can Wise finish him?

Wise decides to stand back up.
Walker seems to have recovered his senses.
A combination from Wise does no damage.

Wise scores with a takedown into Walker's guard.
Wise wants to stand but Walker has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Wise showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Wise decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Wise.
Wise throws a nice looking combination but Walker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wise wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.

and Wise moves into the clinch.

Wise manages to break the clinch.

Walker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wise looks like he's trying to stand up.

Walker is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Walker tries to stand and escape but Wise actually recovers to full guard.
Wise is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wise scores with a takedown into Walker's guard.
Walker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Wise puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Wise stands up out of the half guard.
Wise misses with a few strikes there.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Wise!


That has opened up Nick Walker's cut even more.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Wise.
Nice takedown defense from Wise. No joy for Walker on that attempt.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wise shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Walker counters with a single leg into guard. Wise didn't expect that.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wise working a defensive guard here.
Wise is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wise will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Wise is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wise throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Wise is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dennis Wise dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Walker dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Walker has Wise pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wise manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Wise breaks from the clinch.
Dennis Wise is winning the standup battle so far.
Wise tries to clinch up.
Wise looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Wise.
Wise will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Walker counters with a shoot takedown. Wise fights it but they end up in guard.
Walker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wise dives on top into guard.

Wise stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Wise misses with a few strikes there.

Walker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wise is trying to buck Walker off.
Wise is trying to get back to half guard.
Wise is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Walker has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Walker moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Wise is looking for a sweep.
Walker is chipping away with strikes.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Wise takes one on the button.
Wise shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Walker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Walker lands in his opponent's guard.

Wise is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Wise isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Walker stacks Wise on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Walker!

Walker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wise knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Walker stands up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Walker stuffs the takedown attempt from Wise. Wise gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Wise. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Wise counters with a left and a right that stings Walker.
Nice sprawl there from Wise as Walker shoots in.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Wise.
Walker looks to land a left hand but Wise moved out of range nicely.
No luck for Walker with that takedown attempt.
Wise lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wise misses with a jab, cross combination.

Nick Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Walker stalks Wise and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wise's face. Wise staggers backwards, shaken.
Walker circles away from the clinch attempt

and Walker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wise won't be happy with that.

Walker stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Walker wants to clinch but Wise slips to the side

so Wise counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wise prevents Walker from getting back to his feet.
Walker controlling the position.

Wise thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Walker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Walker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wise manages to get himself to full guard.
Nick Walker has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wise tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wise is working hard here to advance position.
Walker stops Wise from standing up.
Walker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wise is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walker is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wise wants to get back to his feet but Walker is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Walker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wise's guard.
Walker tries to free his leg and advance position but Wise is retaining full guard.
Wise looking to control.
Wise wants to stand and escape but Walker is having none of it.
Wise is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wise gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A slapping body kick lands there for Wise.
Wise connects with a crisp jab.

Walker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Wise explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Walker clinches with his opponent.
Walker tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wise smiles and moves away.
Wise connects with a high kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wise scores with a one two! Walker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Walker misses with a takedown
and Wise counters with a one-two to the body.
Dennis Wise has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Walker.
Wise swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Walker counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wise!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wise's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Wise reaches up to try and control the position but Walker seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Wise rolls and tries to escape and now Walker has his back!
Wise is trying to get back to his feet but Walker has full control of the position and if anything, Wise has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Walker tries to keep control of the position but Wise is staying busy.
Wise looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Walker has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Wise has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Walker keeps control of the position as Wise tries to break free.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nick Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Walker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
