With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Griffin - that will leave a mark!
Griffin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Romero tries to counter with a takedown but Griffin is quick to defend against it.
Griffin goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Leif Romero has been cut.
A head kick by Griffin misses

and Romero counters with a takedown into side control.
Griffin bucks up and tries to throw Romero off but instead Romero has got his back!
Romero controls the action.
Griffin is trying to stand back up.

Romero really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Romero lands a big shot there that rocks Griffin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Griffin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Griffin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Griffin is squirming around, avoiding Romero's attempts to control the action.

Romero is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Griffin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Romero is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Griffin can do to turn this around?
Romero can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Griffin is looking to escape.

Romero cracks Griffin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Romero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
