Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heinrich Meinhoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Berry Bluethurty!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meinhoff pushes Bluethurty away with a front kick.
Bluethurty tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Meinhoff was well out of range. Poor timing from Bluethurty.
Meinhoff misses with a straight left.
Meinhoff lands a nice looking body kick.
Bluethurty looks winded!
Meinhoff drops Bluethurty with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bluethurty looks back up at him and smiles so Meinhoff waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Berry Bluethurty has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Meinhoff. Bluethurty does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice body kick from Meinhoff.
Meinhoff gets a clinch.
Meinhoff pushes Bluethurty against the cage. Meinhoff is working some dirty boxing. Meinhoff pushes off with a quick right hook! Bluethurty goes down! Bluethurty tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Meinhoff moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Heinrich Meinhoff!
