Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeramy Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ BK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeramy Charles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, TJ BK!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BK throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Charles stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Charles bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Charles throws a counter high kick but BK was just alert enough to avoid it.
Nice cross by BK.
BK fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
BK looks to land a right hand but Charles moved out of range.

BK gets caught napping as Charles dives in and scores a takedown. BK manages to retain guard.
Charles works over BK with some ground and pound from guard.
Charles stays in close to BK's body and controls the position.
Charles stands up over BK, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Charles is stalling in the full guard.
Charles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Charles lands a couple of digs.

Charles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Charles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Charles connects with a couple of short punches.
BK is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Charles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BK striking off his back but it's not causing Charles any problems.

Charles stands up from BK's guard - Charles perhaps looking for a knockout.
BK is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.


It looks like Jeramy Charles has been cut.
BK scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
BK lands a jab to the head.

Charles closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. BK quickly recovers to half guard.
Charles could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Charles lands a nice short elbow.
BK wants to improve his position but Charles is controlling well.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Charles connects with a nice short shot to BK's temple.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Charles.
BK wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
BK connects with a body shot.
BK darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Charles doesn't manage to clinch there - BK circles away.
BK scores with a hook to the body. Charles takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Charles shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. BK manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Charles shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. BK is trying to defend but Charles finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BK is defending against the submission attempts here by Charles.
Charles is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Charles is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Well, if Charles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
BK wants to improve his position but Charles is controlling well.
Charles takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
BK has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Charles is working away from the top position though.
Charles is taking a breather. BK says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Charles seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Charles looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks BK with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
BK on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Still in half guard, Charles seems content to control.

Charles is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Charles keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
BK swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Charles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. BK looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
BK wants to get back to his feet but Charles is dominant here and he's now got BK's back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
I really don't envy BK right now.
Jeramy Charles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
BK is covering up but some of the strikes from Charles are getting through and doing damage.

BK is really stuck here.
Charles is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
BK trying to control the hands but Charles breaks the grip.
Can BK hold on?! Charles is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
BK covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Charles is working for a rear naked choke. BK is not defending it well and Charles has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! BK refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of BK's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jeramy Charles!
