Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Maidana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas Maidana could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dan Iron's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iron fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Maidana shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Iron eats them both and turns towards Maidana to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Maidana lands a really nice looking cross but Iron seems unphased.
Iron shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maidana sprawls well. Maidana wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Iron gets slowly back to his feet.

and Maidana counters with a beautiful punch that sends Iron to the canvas!

Maidana postures up in Iron's guard and throws a big left but Iron blocks it.
Iron pulls Maidana in close to prevent any damage.

Iron has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maidana can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Iron looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Maidana stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maidana wants it to stay on the feet.
It looked like Maidana wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Iron lands a nice hook to Maidana's body. Maidana takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Maidana connects with a looping right hand.
Maidana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Iron paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Maidana drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Iron right on the button. Iron goes down! Maidana follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Maidana gets the win via TKO!
