The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meida takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Thiago Meida has been cut.
Hiway misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Meida slips a jab and a cross from Hiway.
Meida tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Hiway throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meida.
Hiway slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Meida drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Meida jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hiway definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Hiway is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Meida dives into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Meida is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hiway looks calm but he's in trouble here. Meida gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hiway is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Meida lets go of the hold and Hiway can pop his arm back in it's socket.
