Gracie has chosen Disciples of Power - Lords of Creation as his entrance music. Jean Pierre Papin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sailor Gracie!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Papin sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Papin is looking for a counter combo.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Papin but Papin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Papin cracks Gracie with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sloppy strikes from Papin. Those never looked like landing.
Papin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Papin shows good takedown defense.
Jean Pierre Papin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sailor Gracie.

Papin lands a left and a right that send Gracie crashing to the mat, dazed. Papin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Gracie is rocked!

It looks like Sailor Gracie has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Papin lands a big right hook! Gracie looks hurt but is still standing! Papin lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Gracie falls down and Papin dives in with a huge hammer fist! Gracie's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Papin runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Sailor Gracie was interviewed post fight and said 'Dimensionless, I shall return stronger than you can imagine.'.
