The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gruber throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Marchegiano was covering up waiting for the punch and Gruber finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Gruber postures up and lands a big shot to Marchegiano's brow.
Gruber keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Marchegiano's head.

Marchegiano is looking for a triangle here but Gruber uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Marchegiano tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Gruber easily slips into full mount!
Gruber lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Marchegiano is in a horrible position here. Gruber smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marchegiano is rocked!

Gruber is working for a guillotine from mount but Marchegiano frees his head quite easily.
Gruber postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Marchegiano badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Gruber around the waist but Gruber pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Gruber is the winner by TKO! Gruber jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
