The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Morgan is able to avoid easily.

Nunez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nunez is standing up over Morgan. Morgan looks to escape but Nunez dives into side control.

Nunez has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Nunez sends Morgan crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nunez is motioning to the referee to let Morgan up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Morgan is rocked!

It looks like Gerry Morgan has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nunez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nunez working the clinch nicely. Morgan is working for position but Nunez cracks him with a big knee to the head! Morgan crumples up against the cage and Nunez lands two more shots before the ref can save Morgan! This one is all over!
