The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Apple steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Silva.
Silva scores with a jab to the body.
Apple really is a fat lump.
Apple avoids the body shot from Silva.
Silva throws the left hand but Apple avoids the punch easily.
Apple uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva.

Apple gets a clinch.
Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Apple misses with a hook from the clinch.
Apple tries a body shot but Silva blocks it.
Apple is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Apple's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Silva as Apple shoots in.
A telegraphed right hand from Silva misses the target.
Silva cracks Apple with a right hand to the side of the head.
Anderson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Apple throws a big counter combination but Silva scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Silva drops Apple with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Apple looks back up at him and smiles so Silva waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Apple is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Apple out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Anderson Silva decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
