Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Scrollman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scrollman comes to the cage accompanied by Face the pain- Stemme. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronnie Scrollman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scrollman fails to land with a series of punches.
Scrollman throws a lazy head kick

and Coleman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Coleman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Scrollman is trying to stand up here but Coleman is controlling him well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Scrollman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And Coleman tries to counter it with a takedown but Scrollman pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Coleman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Scrollman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

A combination from Scrollman does no damage.
Scrollman throws out a loose jab but Coleman uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Coleman counters with a shoot takedown. Scrollman fights it but they end up in guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Scrollman wants to stand and escape but Coleman is having none of it.
Coleman controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Scrollman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Coleman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Coleman changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Scrollman scores with a jab. Coleman acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nate Coleman will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We've been told by Scrollman's head coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Scrollman's guard.
Coleman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Coleman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Coleman.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Coleman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Yet more stalling tactics from Coleman.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Nate Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Scrollman wants to get back to his feet but Coleman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, if Coleman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

You get the feeling that Scrollman really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Coleman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

I've got Coleman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
