The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sanchez lands a decent elbow from side control.
Sanchez is putting a hurting on Rick here, landing some big shots from side control.
Rick tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanchez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Sanchez is staying tight to Rick's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Rick is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sanchez has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Rick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.

Sanchez cracks Rick with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Rick badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Sanchez around the waist but Sanchez pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Sanchez is the winner by TKO! Sanchez jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
