Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sandy Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lukasz Fankulewski !
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fankulewski drives through and clinches with Jackson against the cage.

Fankulewski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Fankulewski has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.
Jackson jumps guard but Fankulewski turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Fankulewski taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Fankulewski tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.

Fankulewski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fankulewski shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense.
Jackson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sandy Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lukasz Fankulewski .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson just misses with a punch to the body.

Fankulewski rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage.
Jackson tries to throw a body punch but Fankulewski avoids it by throwing Jackson back against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Fankulewski just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jackson's brow.

Fankulewski jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Jackson throws a strike but Fankulewski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jackson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fankulewski won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fankulewski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jackson is trying to hold Fankulewski in close to prevent damage but Fankulewski has managed to pass into half guard.
Jackson keeping hold of Fankulewski 's head, controlling as best he can.

Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jackson is trying to stand up here but Fankulewski is controlling him well.
Fankulewski looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Jackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fankulewski is working away from the top position though.
Fankulewski wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jackson trying to hold on to Fankulewski 's head to control him but Fankulewski postures up.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jackson fails with the takedown.

Fankulewski drops Jackson with a beautiful combination! Jackson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fankulewski is looking for the KO!


Jackson is rocked!


It looks like Sandy Jackson has been cut.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Fankulewski shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Fankulewski slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Fankulewski lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Lukasz Fankulewski !
