The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Anthony avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Anthony has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nikon is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A shot to the body from Nikon misses
and Anthony counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Anthony shoots in and drives through. Nikon sprawls well.
Nikon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nikon shoots in looking for a takedown but Anthony manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nikon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nikon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anthony as he avoids it easily.
Anthony slaps away a takedown attempt from Nikon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sekonic Nikon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anthony drives through and clinches with Nikon against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nikon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Anthony avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Nikon fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Anthony is trying to force a seperation but Nikon has the dominant position.

Anthony is trying to break the clinch but Nikon has him pressed against the cage.
Anthony has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Anthony jumps into guard, dragging Nikon to the mat.

We've been hearing good reports from Nikon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Nikon drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Nikon seems to have locked his on tight now - Anthony screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Nikon, as he picks up the win!
