The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Shean tries to clinch but Collins is having none of it.

Collins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Collins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Collins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Shean is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Collins moves in looking to clinch but Shean pushes him off.

Shean misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Collins tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Shean counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Collins has his feet on Shean's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Shean tries to clinch but Collins moves out of range.

Shean drives through and clinches with Collins against the cage.
Shean scores with a knee to the head.
Shean lands a nice elbow.
Collins takes a knee right on the jaw!
Shean connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like Philadelphia Collins has been cut.

Collins gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Shean regains guard.
Collins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Collins stands and steps away. Shean gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Shean drives through and clinches with Collins against the cage.

Collins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Collins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Collins tries to advance to mount but Shean denies him.

Collins has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
