Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Floyd Keller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zach Bowman!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowman fails to land with a series of punches.
Keller throws a sloppy head kick
and Bowman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bowman looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bowman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bowman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bowman rushes Keller and presses him up against the cage.
Keller tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bowman smiles and moves away.
Keller throws a right hand that Bowman ducks under and follows up with a left that Bowman also avoids with ease.
Keller connects with a looping right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keller clinches up with Bowman and pushes him back against the cage.
Keller has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Bowman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Keller jumps guard and drags Bowman to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bowman is pushing down on Keller's leg trying to pass to half guard. Keller is fighting to maintain full guard but Bowman has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bowman trying to pass the guard but Keller defending well.
Keller connecting with a few gentle strikes.
Keller trying to control from the bottom.
Bowman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Keller gets back to full guard.
Keller throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Bowman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Keller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bowman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Keller is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bowman has his hands clasped together but Keller extends and breaks Bowman's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Keller.
