The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dharma throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gontinov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dharma lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Gontinov misses with a takedown attempt - Dharma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gontinov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dharma to the ground. Gontinov is now in Dharma's guard.
Dharma is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gontinov works over Dharma with some ground and pound from guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dharma goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gontinov is on top in guard.

Dharma escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gontinov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dharma lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Gontinov is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Dharma is landing with some decent strikes but Gontinov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gontinov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gontinov wants to hold on but Dharma pushes him away.
Dharma lands a big shot there that rocks Gontinov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Gontinov is bucking up trying to escape but Dharma cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Khan Dharma overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gontinov is squirming around, avoiding Dharma's attempts to control the action.
Gontinov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Dharma's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
