The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moffatt gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Curt Moffatt has been cut.
Nicolas Marquette seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marquette lands a big shot that drops Moffatt! Can he finish him?
Moffatt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Moffatt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Marquette can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marquette can't escape the position.

Moffatt has hold of Marquette's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Marquette manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Marquette tries to lock up and control but Moffatt gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Marquette is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Moffatt locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Marquette is forced to tap!
