Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Maidana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Idowu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Idowu's choice of entrance music: My name is Prince. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lucas Maidana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Prince Idowu!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Idowu shoots for a takedown but Maidana saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice uppercut lands for Maidana. That snapped Idowu's head back.
Idowu slips under a jab.
Idowu tries for a takedown but Maidana circles away easily
and Maidana counters with a body kick.
Maidana waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Idowu.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Idowu! But no joy.

Idowu gets the takedown into side control.
Maidana on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Maidana takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Idowu looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Idowu cracks Maidana with a big elbow.
Idowu scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Maidana is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Idowu can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Prince Idowu!
Prince Idowu made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I will fight and I will beat whoever stands in my way!'.
