Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei AK (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergei AK is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei AK!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Henderson!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AK doesn't manage to clinch there - Henderson circles away.

Henderson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Henderson wants to pass the guard but AK is defending well.
AK blocking the ground and pound attempt from Henderson.

AK pushes Henderson off looking to stand but Henderson dives back in and keeps control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

It looks like Dan Henderson has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
AK distracts Henderson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Henderson is still in real trouble! Can AK finish him?

AK has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Henderson is proving hard to escape from.
AK is breathing heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Henderson looks to land a combination. AK sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Henderson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of AK's head.
AK is wriggling around but Henderson manages to pass to half guard.
Henderson wants to pass the guard but AK is defending well.

AK gets back to full guard.

AK looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Henderson passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Henderson advances to full mount.
AK in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Henderson cracks AK with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Henderson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Henderson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
AK tries to get back to half guard but can't.
AK wants to control but Henderson is having none of it.
A nice elbow there by Henderson.

BOOM! Henderson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
AK gets back to half guard.
Henderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed AK's head.
AK works his way to full guard. Good work.
Henderson postures up in AK's guard and throws a big left but AK blocks it.

AK is looking for a triangle but Henderson pushes his legs off easily.
Henderson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
AK trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Henderson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
AK is looking to stand up but Henderson isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sergei AK will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dan Henderson's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Henderson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Henderson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
AK can't escape the position.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
AK is bucking up trying to escape but Henderson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Henderson lands a nice short elbow.

AK is pushing Henderson's head away, looking to escape. Henderson manages to hold on to the position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee warns AK that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Henderson prevents AK from getting the reversal.

Henderson is landing with some decent strikes but AK is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
AK is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Henderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

AK is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Henderson is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

AK somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

AK throws a right and a left that both miss.
AK on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Henderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Henderson showed some decent athleticism there.
Henderson wants to free his trapped foot but AK is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are battling for position here. AK manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Henderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Henderson postures up and lands a big shot to AK's brow.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Henderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

AK scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Dan Henderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Henderson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
