Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Prince Idowu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Royal Pain! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Idowu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pain as he avoids it easily. Pain gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Idowu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pain controls Idowu momentarily but Idowu frees himself. Idowu scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Pain pushes a forearm under Idowu's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Idowu is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Royal Pain! After the big win, Royal Pain made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Leviathan Clothing and telling the interviewer how much he loves him. Prince Idowu was interviewed post fight and said 'Damn it!'.
